Show multi-threading: champions, economic buyers, and blockers, and how you ran a process rather than waited on one.
How do you run a discovery call?
Describe a structure that uncovers pain, impact, decision process, and timeline, and note that you talk less than the prospect.
How do you forecast, and how accurate are you?
Explain your stage criteria and inspection habits. Managers value AEs whose committed deals actually close.
A deal stalls after a great demo. What do you do?
Diagnose rather than chase: revisit the champion, confirm the decision process, and requalify whether real pain and budget exist.
Why are you leaving your current role?
Keep it forward-looking and factual, such as territory or product-market limits. Never disparage the current employer.
