How many flag hours do you typically turn in a week?
Give an honest number with context about the shop's workflow. Efficiency near or above 100% is the benchmark most managers use.
What is your experience with hybrid or electric vehicles?
Mention any high-voltage safety training or manufacturer courses. If none, express clear interest; every shop is planning for this.
Tell me about a comeback you had. What did you learn?
Own it, name the missed step, and describe your verification habit now, like road-testing to reproduce the original complaint.
How do you explain a costly repair to a skeptical customer?
Talk about showing the worn part or the data, prioritizing safety items, and giving options. Trust drives repeat work and your hours.
